I’m Kari A. Hintikka, internet researcher and senior foresighter from Finland (ubiq at Jaiku in Finnish and nethunt at Twitter in English).

I coined the term ‘netcrowd‘ in 2002 to explain how the common citizens self-organize and mobilize themselves  via internet and solve problems and solve tasks they have decided themselves. After solving, the netcrowd disappears. Here I make some findings of my PhD at University of Jyväskylä, Finland.

There are several terms abbreviated to collective intelligence and self-organization of masses, from The Wisdom of Crowds to hive mind. In my blog I’ll explain how the existing theories do not cover all the domain yet.

The blog covers also various netcrowds cases, theories about the social networks and collective action, quests and tricks with learning social networks  analysis (SNA) methods and findings about the free tools, like <a href=”http://issuecrawler.net/”>IssueCrawler</a&gt;.
